Occupy Happiness

Choice of words determines how a salesperson perceives the world and
how they will feel. Certain words empower and certain words
self-victimize. It is easy to feel and say, “I got screwed” or “They
are not being fair.” Those choices of words self-victimize. Those
words can immobilize a salesperson and unnecessarily project power
onto others while waiting an eternity for the party to change. An
empowering choice to the same circumstances is to say, “I do not like
what happened” and “I disagree with it.” From there great
salespeople can think and determine what they do want and what actions
they can take to achieve their objectives. Outstanding salespeople
know they can influence their immediate world with their choice of
words and by doing so allow their bodies and minds to occupy
happiness.
